Unclichéd – Chapter One

Ever wanted to get into Kevin’s head? Now you can! Here’s the first chapter Unclichéd, the story of Cliché from Kevin’s POV!

Unclichéd – Chapter 1

“Kevin, did you hear what I just said?”

I look up from where I’m staring unseeing at the script I’m supposed to be reading and try to focus on what Savannah’s saying. I’m distracted today and restless and the reason is that in less than an hour, I’ll be seeing Claire again. The last three months in Nepal felt like three years. Don’t get me wrong. The place is stunning but not being able to speak to Claire is its own form of hell. Three months is the longest we’ve ever been apart. Claire grounds me—she gives me a home, even though I live in California and she lives in South Africa, and when I’m away from her for too long, I get jittery.

I tell myself it’s because she’s the only person that gets me. And she is. Being an actor with my life constantly in the limelight has shown me just how important my friendship with Claire is. She’s the one person I can be myself with. Well, other than my brother, Brandon, and Claire’s Gran, but she gets me on a completely different level and for the next month, I’ll be “home” and I can’t fucking wait.

I realize I haven’t answered Savannah when she tilts her head and raises an eyebrow. The woman can say a thousand words with those damn eyebrows. “Sorry, what did you say?” Continue reading

BLURB:
I thought I had it all – the perfect life, with the perfect arrangement, with the perfect guy.

To the world, Kevin Peyton is the heartthrob Oscar nominee. To me, he’s my best friend, with some sexy benefits.

But then I got a taste of his world. A world where being mobbed by fans, violated by intruders, and stripped of all privacy is the norm. I never realized how brutal being in the spotlight would be.

I didn’t fit into his world. I didn’t fit into his plans. I only wish I’d discovered that before falling in love with him and changing the game plan.

Sometimes changing the game plan changes more than the game. Sometimes it changes your Everything.

Deleted Scene: Blundering about the Bush

Hiya Guys,

I had a ton of fun writing this but because it prolonged the ending, it was decided that it would be best to cut this scene. I hope you enjoy this little snippet of Kevin and Claire! 😀

Please note this is unedited!

It was gloriously warm, maybe a touch too warm for most people but for me I revelled in it. I loved the way the sun seemed to seep into my bones, warming my soul and making me giddy. Okay, perhaps it had less to do with the heat and more to do with Kevin stretched out next to me on a lounger, his back glinting from the sun block I’d liberally rubbed over his skin. Honestly, I may have been a tad over-thorough with my task; after all, we were under the thatch patio so there wasn’t much chance of sunburn but the man had back muscles that would make a prude salivate and running my hands over them was on my list of top five things to do.

Kevin’s phone vibrated and he lifted it and checked the screen. “That’s my reminder.” Continue reading

Dreams do come true!

Oh my word, I hit the button and Cliché is up for preorder!

Writing has always felt like I’m standing in front of a crowd in my beige granny panties, slightly tipsy and my brain-to-mouth filter broken. To be fair my brain-to-mouth filter is mostly always broken but there’s nowhere to hide when you write—at least for me. But I love it! I love every moment of it and I’m getting to live my dream by seeing my book up for preorder on Amazon.

Now, excuse me while I collapse on the couch with a glass of wine!

Cliché: Chapter One

I was giddy with excitement. Kevin had been away on location in Nepal for the last three months, which was the longest we’d gone without seeing one another. But worse than that, for the last two months we hadn’t even had an opportunity to talk on the phone, or text, for that matter. Now that he was nearly here, I couldn’t wait a minute longer.

Alison placed the yellow tulips on the coffee table in the charter lounge and looked over at me, her green eyes sparkling with barely contained enthusiasm. “That’s the last of them.” She blew her auburn curls out of her eyes. “Do celebrities always have such crazy demands?”

I looked around the lounge and stifled a smile. A dozen bunches of tulips dotted every available surface and Turkish Delights lined a bowl next to a bottle of lime milkshake.

I hid the smile tugging at my lips. “This is nothing.”
